Hi, I’m Yousuf — welcome to my corner of the internet.

I’ve spent the last 13+ years building analytics platforms, BI dashboards, and — more recently — the automation that keeps those systems running without anyone having to babysit them. This blog is where I’ll share some of what I’ve learned along the way: lessons from leading analytics teams, notes on building self-healing data pipelines, and thoughts on where GenAI-assisted engineering (tools like Claude Code) actually helps versus where it doesn’t.

A few things you can expect here:

  • Analytics leadership — hiring, mentoring, and scaling teams that ship reliable dashboards
  • Automation deep-dives — how I built pipeline monitoring and escalation systems that page the right person automatically, not everyone
  • Tooling notes — Snowflake, Tableau, Python, and the occasional rant about flaky ETL jobs

If any of that’s useful to you, stick around. New posts go up whenever I have something worth saying — no fixed schedule, no filler.

Thanks for reading.
